Landscape Architect, Eric Sauer spent some time with us today!

Eric is the Landscape Architect for Dayton Metro Parks, and designed the original plans for the DRSS campus. He joined us today to offer students some history of our site and guidance in conducting a site assessment as they begin to think about planning the location and interaction of their outdoor space with the campus environment.

We learned the site was a wetland before it was drained, paved and built on years ago. Eric's talk focused on sustainability and strategies for designing outdoor spaces to support best environmental practices.
