This project was in collaboration with the WAVE Foundation, the non-profit arm of the Newport Aquairum. Curator of Education for the Foundation, Daniel Dunlap, expressed a need for assistance developing educational materials for the thousands of school children and teachers visiting the Aquairum. DRSS students worked collaboratively across 9th, 10th and 12th grades to write and illustrate childrens books about specific species, film and produce video interviews with species biologists and create related curriculum materials aligned with Next Generation Science Standards.

You can visit the WAVE Foundation website that students created to house all of these materials and you can purchase illustrated storybooks on Blurb by clicking on the books below.
